Self-care is not selfish: it’s important.

Hello family! First off, I need to thank you for always reading every blog post I put up and of course for always buying bigfeet shoes from ShoeMiners. I know you have heard about skin-care and hair-care but do you know about self-care?

Before we go far, how are you? The last week has been boring without you but I hope you are keeping because that’s the only way our lives can go back to normal. I love you all and I can’t wait to welcome you back to the store for unlimited shopping.

Now back to our discussion, I asked if you know about self-care and I’m sure you’ve been wondering what the term “self-care means. It is any conscious activity that we do in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. So this means you can have glowing skin, sparkling feet, and healthy hair but it doesn’t equate complete self-care.

To help, I’ll list some simple ideas to help you start and maintain a good self-care routine:

  1. Don’t check your email or social media pages immediately you wake up.
  2. Meditation or exercises, every morning or night: even if it’s just for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Set yourself a reminder on your phone or any other device you use frequently saying, “You’re amazing!”
  4. Say no to events, gatherings, and activities that stretch you too beyond your limit.
  5.  Clean and declutter your working or reading space: it helps polish your mind.
  6. Wake up without using an alarm clock once within the week.
  7. Celebrate your small wins or achievements.
  8. Do the things you love often.

You also need to know that self-care isn’t an excuse to continually be unhealthy, spend excessively, and importantly, self-care isn’t selfish. The world spins hoaxing fast and if you don’t step aside and check-in with yourself every now and again, you might find out one day that you’re standing in a very different place than where you intended

Thank you for reading but what’s important is how you are able to make this a part of your regular lifestyle.
