Staying Stylish as a Plus-Size Woman

Hello beautiful plus-size woman, how are you doing? I’m genuinely asking if you are doing well because you get most pressure.

You are always hearing things like “watch your weight”, “you should register in a gym”, “it’s not good for your health”, and all that stuff. So you are allowed to ignore anybody that says that BS to you or eat the person.

As for fashion, ‘that one na another wahala’. So you see, this blog post is to help plus-size women stay stylish and slay accurately😜.

We all know that when it comes to dressing, there is no perfect size or shape but there is a perfect style for everyone’s shape and knowing how to balance this is an art on its own. You see that art, is what I’m here to teach you.

  1. Know Your Shape- As earlier stated, we all have different shapes and no shape is perfect. You have to know your shape, identify what works for you and stick to it…Don’t dress in an hourglass gown with a round shape.
  2. Know Where To Strike The Balance- Oftentimes, people on the big side have issues deciding the size to wear. I know it can be hard but I’m here to solve the puzzle: stay in-between. I mean don’t wear outfits that are either too tight or too big.
  3. Leggings Aren’t Pants- For the umpteenth time, leggings shouldn’t be worn as pants at least not for you. They drive the attention away from your outfit and take it straight to your size and butt.
  4. Pencil Skirts Are Perfect- Need I explain more? Naa, I’m sure you dig.
  5. Embrace your body- That big belly, those thighs that you are ashamed of are yours to embrace and be proud of. Trying to hide it every time is way too much of a burden; embrace your beauty.
  6. Last and most importantly, wear good shoes, shoes that fit.
